Retrieved May 16, 2016, from http://naturalsociety.com/average-american-diet-infographic/ This showed a graph about how much meat the average american eats every year. It shows how much is consumed every years and this helps support the fact that there are many people that eat too much meat a year. It's used in the paper to show why there is so much demand for pork, beef, and chicken.

Retrieved May 17, 2016, from https://www.asi.k-state.edu/doc/meat-science/development-of-the-u.pdf The article talked about how the first factories started and why the people even started them in the first place. This talks about the history of the meat industry and what helped them grow and become as big as they are today. It’s used in the paper as a reference to how these factories started.

The 10 Most Vegetarian Cities In the U.S. Retrieved May 17, 2016, from http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/vegetarian-cities-in-america_us_56200629e4b050c6c4a4f155 This source gave cities that had the most vegatarians in the U.S. and it gave facts about each city about how they have many options for people that don't eat meat. It helps me give examples of how there are more places that are having restaurants that have meatless meals.

Retrieved May 17, 2016, from http://panoramapsu.com/2016/04/problems-facing-meat-industry-today/ This article talks about all the negatives that are still happening because of the meat industry. It talks about how negative the industry is and how it affects the people in the fields and the workers inside the factory.

Retrieved May 25, 2016, from http://www.worldwatch.org/global-meat-production-and-consumption-continue-rise-1 This gave a certain statistic on how the meat industry has risen over the past decades. I used this in my historical section to show how things in the meat industry have changed over time.

Retrieved May 18, 2016, from http://www.forbes.com/sites/niallmccarthy/2015/08/05/which-countries-eat-the-most-meat-each-year-infographic/#705f855f1314 This article shows what country's population ate the most meat in 2013 and I was able to use that to talk about how those people eat more even though the population isn't as big as other countries. It’s used to help compare the top countries and analyze how it would affect the global pollution and the people’s health.

It fit in the project by providing evidence of how the planet is being affected by the meat industry.

She provides some data to back up her claim and basically says it's just people don't run the farms correctly and that's why there are all these problems. It helps give another perspective on this issue that isn't really mentioned a lot in the essay.

Retrieved May 25, 2016, from http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/02/0218_050218_human_diet.html This gave me the date estimated time period that scientists believe humans hunted animals for food. I used this as evidence in my historical section.
Puente, T. (2013, August 29). Chicago has 5th largest Hispanic community in U.S. Retrieved May 17, 2016, from http://www.chicagonow.com/chicanisima-latino-politics-news-and-culture/2013/08/chicago-has-5th-largest-hispanic-community-in-u-s/ This talks about the amount of Hispanic population in Chicago. I used this because I was talking about how culture plays a role in what food is cooked and how some cultures eat more meat than others.
Stop Factory Farms. (2012, June 28). Retrieved May 18, 2016, from http://www.stopfactoryfarms.org/which-companies-use-humanely-raised-meat/ It gives a list of companies that are buying meat from the factories that mistreat animals. Also shows the ones that buy meats from the factories that don't mistreat animals or give them harmful chemicals. It works with the essay because it shows where these companies are buying food and how no one questioned it until recently.

Retrieved May 18, 2016, from http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/29/opinions/sutter-beef-suv-cliamte-two-degrees/ This source gives evidence and shows how much pollution the meat industry as a whole gives out every year. It also talks about how all the greenhouse gas going into the air affects the environment and our health. It’s used in the paper by giving examples of how all the greenhouse gas is causing many environmental issues.
Vegetarianism In America. (n.d.). Retrieved May 16, 2016, from http://www.vegetariantimes.com/article/vegetarianism-in-america/ This page showed the statistic of the vegatarians in America and how that number has rose so much in the past decade. This was in the part where I talked about more Americans becoming vegetarians as a way to solve the issue with the meat industry a little bit.
